Reports in the Sunshine Coast Daily reveal that Sunshine Coast Council has mapped out future public transport and parking options in its high level master plan released recently for consultation. The plans show residents could be forced to pay to park at Birtinya, Caloundra, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and Sippy Downs.
At Sippy Downs the council has identified parking issues due to the emerging town centre and its interaction with the university. As a result paid parking is set to brought in at the new town centre.
Contact your local Councillor to express your concern.
