We opened in 1998, and originally employed two doctors, a part-time nurse and a receptionist. In December 2012, Dr Dal Goodman and his wife Katherine, purchased the practice and renamed it Suncoast Family Medical Pty Ltd. In 2017 the name was changed to Sippy Downs Family Medical Pty Ltd.
The practice is fully-accredited to the standards of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Sippy Downs Family Medical now has two full-time doctors and one part-time female doctor, a practice nurse, one part-time clinical psychologist, practice manager and receptionist.
We pride ourselves on being the only family-owned general practice in Sippy Downs. We have been providing quality health care on the Sunshine Coast since 1998, encompassing local suburbs such as Sippy Downs, Tanawha, Buderim, Mountain Creek, Forest Glen and Ilkley. We also have regular patients coming to us from as far away as Brisbane and Gympie.
We offer a comprehensive range of primary care services to families and individuals in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Apart from standard general practice items, our services include women’s, men’s and children’s health, management of chronic health problems, advice on diabetes and asthma care, pre-employment medicals, annual check-ups, vaccinations, skin checks, minor surgical procedures and health assessments for all ages.
